I've been in education for over thirteen years. I've taught 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th grade English Language Arts courses during this time. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education in English from West Chester University (2006). Additionally, I obtained my Master of Liberal Arts from McDaniel College in 2011. In December of 2018, I acquired my Instructional Technology Specialist Certification. I am currently an Educational Technology Specialist at Lincoln Intermediate Unit.

I'm interested in taking risks in the classroom, experimenting with technology to determine its most effective uses in the classroom, identifying how to grow STEM literacy in all content areas, and giving students the freedom to learn using their own voice and passions whenever I can. I'm curious about the nature of creativity in educators and in students. I like to find new ways to approach the new problems we face every day in our classroom. I believe that while some people think technology complicates things, it more often can simplify and streamline our classrooms and offer us more freedom to guide and mentor our students in the directions which best fit their needs and desires. It is my belief that educators can use the tools we have today to connect our students to the world.
